Who is responsible

The data controller is AVIO Solutions Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong (registration number 77693458), registered office #1202, 12/F, 299 QRC, 287–299 Queen’s Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, trading as Margarita Stay. Contact: hola [at] margaritastay.com.

What we collect

• Identity and contact details — your name, email, phone and country.
• Booking details — your dates, number of guests, the apartment, and any notes you provide.
• Payment information — processed by our payment providers; we receive confirmation of payment but do not store your full card or wallet details.
• Communications — messages you send us.
• Technical data — basic information your browser sends when you use the site.

How we use it and why

We use your data to take and manage your booking and stay (to perform our contract with you); to send booking-related emails such as verification, confirmation and balance reminders; to comply with legal and accounting obligations; and to protect against fraud and keep our service secure (our legitimate interests). We do not sell your data.

Payment processing

Card payments are handled by Stripe and cryptocurrency payments by NOWPayments. Your payment details go directly to these providers under their own privacy terms; we never see your full card number or wallet keys.

Who we share it with

We share data only as needed to provide your stay: with our payment providers (Stripe, NOWPayments); our channel manager (Lodgify) for availability and reservations; our email and hosting providers; and the local team that prepares and manages the apartments. We may disclose data where required by law.

International transfers

We are based in Hong Kong and our service providers operate in various countries, so your data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and transaction records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise them.

Your rights

Under Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance you may request access to, and correction of, your personal data — email hola [at] margaritastay.com.

If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you also have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We will honour these where they apply to you.

Cookies

The public site uses only essential cookies needed to function, and does not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Our admin area uses a sign-in cookie for the operator only.

Security, children and changes

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and keeping payment processing with specialised providers.

The service is intended for adults; we do not knowingly collect data from children.
